Nestled in the rugged hills of Kallar Kahar, Izhar Farms (Kallar Kahar Farms) stands as a shining example of what can be achieved through vision, perseverance, and innovation. When the farm first started, the land was barren and mountainous—far from ideal for agriculture. Yet, through hard work and cutting-edge techniques, Izhar Farms has transformed this challenging landscape into a bustling, productive farm.
The farm, covering around 550 acres, is located in one of the most difficult terrains for cultivation. Water scarcity, uneven land, and rocky soil all posed significant challenges. But Izhar Farms took a bold approach, developing wells in the Ghabir riverbed to provide a consistent water source and implementing a modern irrigation system to ensure efficient water use.
Today, Kallar Kahar Farms is home to over 40,000 olive trees and 20,000 grapevines, along with a variety of other fruits grown on an experimental basis. From the barren hills has emerged a thriving agricultural hub that produces high-quality olives, grapes, and other fruits. The farm is a testament to what can be achieved when engineering expertise meets agricultural ambition.
This transformation wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of the Izhar Group, whose engineering and construction background played a crucial role in the farm’s development.
